There is a lot of confusion around the new Part 107 and the 333 exemption that many pilots may already have or were recently granted. Many are wondering if the 333 is now obsolete. The choice is yours and widely depends on how you plan to operate your drone. Since 333 exemptions are valid for two years, pilots can continue to operate under the terms previously granted or they can apply for the 107 and operate under the new guidelines. If you were one of the first to get a 333, you may be operating with restrictions that prevent you from cashing in on all the opportunities now possible under the Part 107 certificate. Check out the official page that discusses it along with a video.
